 Chapter 31.02. Building Code

  § 31.02.02. OBBC, OMC, OPC, and NEC, adopted.

  • The City of Athens hereby adopts, by reference, the 1993 edition of the Ohio Basic Building Code, for the purposes of regulating commercial construction and residential construction consisting of four or more units; the 1993 edition of the Ohio Mechanical Code, for purposes of regulating installation and maintenance of mechanical facilities; the 1993 edition of the Ohio Plumbing Code, for the purposes of regulating commercial and residential plumbing, and the 1993 edition of the National Electrical code, for purposes of regulating installation of electrical conductors and equipment, or any of the above listed latest editions, copies of which are on file in the office of code enforcement of the City of Athens, Ohio.

    Exception to the 1993 OBBC, Chapter 1, Administration not used by the City of Athens, but enforced by the State of Ohio Department of Industrial Compliance.

Editor's note
