§ 11.04.05. Approval of license applications.

Upon submission of the license application and fee to the code enforcement office, the code enforcement office shall then review the application and investigate the references for a period of at least 24 hours, or to its satisfaction, and inspect the applicant's vending equipment, if applicable.

The code enforcement office shall reserve the right to deny the applicant a license, should the application, vending equipment, if applicable, or requirement to post certificate of insurance, if applicable, fail to meet the guidelines of this chapter.

Any applicant denied a license may appeal the decision under Section 11.04.22 of this chapter.

Upon approval of the application and payment of the monthly license fee, the applicant shall receive from the code enforcement office a license permitting said applicant to vend, peddle or solicit in the City of Athens for the month.
