§ 11.04.12. Vending equipment.

  • Vendors may only conduct their business from vending equipment approved by the code enforcement office. All equipment must be constructed in a safe and professional manner, and the primary purpose of such equipment shall be that of vending. All vending vehicles that dispense food must conform to the requirements of the Athens County Health Department. Vending equipment to be used on public streets shall be no larger than eight feet wide, ten feet high as measured from the ground and 20 feet long including the trailer hitch or tow bar and operable openings when fully extended (front and rear). The equipment must be mobile, motor vehicles or non-motorized carts or wagons, and non-motorized carts and wagons shall have at least one axle with which to move the equipment. All items sold must be contained upon the vending equipment itself. No part of the vending equipment may block, impede or hamper pedestrian movement or cause any hazard to pedestrians.
